LITURGY

The Carthusian order have, since THEIR FOUNDING, used a rite unique to THE ORDER, AND SEPERATE FROM THE ROMAN RITE, CALLED THE CARTHUSIAN RITE.

AFTER THE Second Vatican Council, the Order of Carthusians undertook a general revision to their liturgical books to be more closely in line with the 1970 REVISIONS OF THE ROMAN RITE. These revisions have not yet been approved by the Dicastery for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments, though the order of carthusians are in the final phase of this dialogue.

any liturgical books on this website, published after the second vatican council, are published AD EXPERIMENTUM and do not yet have the approval of the dicastery for divine worship (EXCLUDING THE office of the blessed virgin mary, which has remained unchanged for several hundred years).
